After the PSLRTA, the new bargaining units will need to negotiate new collective agreements for Ontario Health atHome workers. Looking at past agreements is useful to see where we started from, but you will need a union with the knowledge, resources, and experience to find the best collective agreement language from the old agreements to form the baseline for the new one.
CUPE has an excellent track record for harmonizing collective agreements after mergers, making sure that our members start from the best of the old agreements no matter which union they came from.
Our Bargaining policy means that we will never give up the hard-won rights of any workers, whether you started as a CUPE member or are new to the CUPE family. Below is a list of different collective agreements for the various bargaining units for you to download and review. CUPE members set the priorities for bargaining, so we encourage all Ontario Health atHome workers to review these collective agreements and highlight language you would want your new bargaining unit to focus on once the PSLRTA is done.
